The Fall Cleaning Schedule Starts Today!

: Image by Rebekka D from Pixabay Today is the first day of the 2023 Fall Cleaning Schedule.  However, there is nothing special on the task list for today unless, you decide to start work on your laundry room, our room of the week, early.  Image by Monfocus from Pixabay My plan for this week is:   Monday:   Clean and organize cabinets. Update my Trello Master To-Do List and Home Projects Boards. Tuesday: Clean tile grout. Wednesday: Clean and reorganize locker bins. Thursday: Clean the ceiling, walls, and doors for cobwebs, dust & any stray marks. Clean the outsides of cabinets. Run the ‘Clean Washer Cycle’ on the washing machine. Clean the lint trap in your dryer. Wipe down both the inside and outsides of the washer and dryer. Clean the laundry room sink and countertops. Dust/vacuum the baseboards and behind machines. Vacuum and mop floors. Empty trash bins. Take any donations to the car. Friday: Add any tasks or projects that need doing to my Trello Boards. I have a free Laundr

2023 Clean House Calendar Giveaway

The Clean House Calendar Fall Cleaning Schedule starts July 18, and I want everyone to be able to participate, so I'm giving away the following: 1.  The Clean House Calendar Monthly Calendar for Q3 & Q4 2.  The Clean House Calendar Weekly Calendar for Q3 & Q4 3.  The Clean House Calendar Daily Planner for Q3 & Q4 You can download one or all three.  You pick the one that works best for you. I know, I know, July 18 is the middle of summer.  There is no fall about it.  But in order to get our homes cleaned, organized, and ready for the holidays, we have to start in July.  The Clean House Calendar Fall Cleaning Schedule focuses on deep cleaning one area of our home each week while maintaining the other areas.  Once November rolls around, we focus on holiday preparations.  And then, in January, we begin the Spring Cleaning Schedule. Please join me by downloading and printing a calendar or planner above and participating in Fall Cleaning Schedule. If you need directions on
So back in 2016, I introduced the Super Summer Spiff Up.  It didn't go much of anywhere because, let's face it, I'm not a good blogger.  But I keep trying.  So today is a new day, and I will try again.  Yesterday I sat down and created a calendar for the month of June with projects I want to complete.  Here it is: I'm sure you don't need to complete the same projects as me, but if you want to download my calendar, you can do that here .  I also have a blank calendar that you can fill in with the projects you would like to complete in June.  You can download it here . I will only have a June Super Summer Spiff Up calendar because the Clean House Calendar Fall Cleaning Schedule starts July 18.  I should have Clean House Calendars ready to purchase by the last week in June. I don't know if they will be in my Etsy or TPT store.  I will let you know soon.  Enjoy, B.

Scrappin' Again

A few days ago, I came across Shannon Allor's YouTube channel, She's Crafty .  In one of her recent videos, she created a layout using a sketch from Rochelle Spears's April 2023 Sketch Challenge and Scrap with Stacy's April 2023 Tic Tac Toe Challenge .  Both of these challenges are open to anyone to participate, and since I'm finally scrapbooking again after retiring, I decided to play along.   I am a two-page scrapbooker, so I needed to modify the sketch a bit, but I think I did okay.   I went diagonally for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge using a circle, a banner piece, and brads. Enjoy, B.

Media/Game Closet Cleaning Checklist

The spring cleaning task for this week is the media/game closet. When we built our house, we ran wires from a small linen closet to the wall above our fireplace, where we placed our TV.  That way, the cable box, the DVD player, and all the required wires were hidden.  At that time, we stored all of our media equipment, DVDs, and board games in that closet.  Over the years, our media needs have changed, and there is no longer any equipment in the closet, but we still store DVDs (yes, we still have those) and our board games in that closet. As you know, the Clean House Calendar is based on what I needed to keep my own house clean and organized. Therefore, I needed to include the media/game closet in my cleaning schedule.  You may not have such a closet, but I'm sure you have an area or two where you store your media (vinyl, DVDs, 3D glasses, games systems, and accessories) and your board games and puzzles.  Those areas are what we are focused on this week.   Here is the cleaning ch

Entry/Mudroom Cleaning Checklist

Photo by Douglas Sheppard on Unsplash The spring cleaning task for this week is the entry/mudroom.  For me, this includes the front entry foyer, where I have an entryway chest of drawers, our coat closet, and part of our laundry room.   When I created the Entry/Mudroom Cleaning Checklist, I was envisioning an area similar to the photo above, but I feel like the checklist could also be used for areas like my entryway chest of drawers and a coat closet. Click on the checklist to download.  Enjoy!  B.

Spring Cleaning Checklists

Today's spring cleaning task is 'Clean and organize the linen closets'.  So I thought I would share my checklist to help you complete the task. I designed it to print, hole punch, and place in your planner or your Family or Household binder.   Click on the checklist to download. Because I was recovering from having Covid over the holidays, I didn't get the laundry room checklist shared with you.  So here it is as well.  Again click on the checklist to download. Have a great day!  B. Image by Freepik
